Matchup Spotlight: Rams vs. Broncos

The Los Angeles Rams demonstrated their resilience last season, coming within a single score of defeating the Seahawks in the playoffs, showcasing a strong challenge against a formidable opponent despite ultimately falling short. During the offseason, the team made a significant acquisition, bringing in Myles Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. This move came at a considerable cost, involving a valuable player in exchange. While Garrett is currently on the injured list, his arrival notably influenced Aaron Donald to reverse his retirement decision. The Rams experienced an initial stumble at the start of the current season but achieved a substantial rebound victory against the Giants, who faced the challenge of losing their starting quarterback early in that contest.

Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos had seemed poised for a potential Super Bowl run last season. They secured an overtime victory at home against the Buffalo Bills. However, their momentum was disrupted when quarterback Bo Nix sustained an ankle injury, sidelining him for the subsequent game. With their second-string quarterback at the helm, the team managed only a single touchdown against a robust Patriots defense, though it was considered a respectable performance given the circumstances and playing at home. With their starting quarterback now back in action, the Broncos are aiming to recapture the strong form that led them to achieve the number one overall seed in the previous year.
